How do we create peace in the modern world?  Bill Brookman in Somalia, 2013

Home>Activities> WarGames/PeaceGames

How do we learn lessons of peace in the modern world from examples in the past?  In ‘WarGames/PeaceGames’ young people role-play as Prime Minister, Foreign Secretary and leaders of failing states wracked by war.

But what to do?  Intervene? Air Strikes? Aid? Do nothing?

Drawing on Bill Brookman’s 12 years as an implementing partner with the United Nations he leads a role-play workshop where young people have to be the first world decision-makers reacting to an imaginary scenario which could so easily be Ukraine, Syria,  Libya, Iraq… the list goes on.
